Cheerful Monday #41 - A Little Hello

Hope you all had a wonderful Holiday time with your family and friends. I am a bit sad that it is over, I love Christmas time with its secrets and huzzle and buzzle ... but there will always be next year (lol). And for now I am just saying a little hello
with Deacon from  Bugaboo sitting on his Candy cane. Isn't he cute?
coloured with Copics,
layered on lots of patterend paper (Jillibean Soup, My Mind's Eye, October Afternoon) and Kraft card,
embellished with a little wooden star and a stamped sentiment from Elzybells.

This card is my project for Vicki's 'Anything Goes' challenge on the Cheerful Stamp Pad blog. For more wonderful inspiration please do pop over and hopefully you can join us! Petra.

Lunagirl - Retro Shopping

Here in the UK lots of people are in the SALE fever and I thought I share with you a tag card with a Retro feel which I made quite a while ago for one of the Lunagirl Moonbeams challenges. I started by cutting a tag card from Kraft paper. I covered the front page of the card with Teresa Collins patterned paper and then added a digitally collaged background with lots of images from one of the Lunagirl Moonbeams collage sheets: Retro Housewives collage sheet

The focal point for the card is another image from the same collage sheet layered on Kraft card and Teresa Collins paper. As embellishment I used a little retro button and some button twine.
For the inside I used more patterend paper and a printed sentiment

Have a good start into the new week, Petra.

Lunagirl - Angel Candle

I have always been in awe when seeing these wonderfully decorated candles .... using tissue paper, stamping, and all. I eventually was brave enough to give it a go. I first printed one of Lunagirl Moonbeam's amazing angel images on tissue paper. The printing worked really well. And then I attached it to the candle. This worked sort of well .... the tissue paper crankled slightly but the longer I looked at it the more I liked the look. It has a bit of a distressed crackled feel to it
And I will definitely give it another try, enjoy your weekend, Petra.

Inside the books I attached some sheets of plain white paper for writing notes

Lunagirl - Blue Christmas

Christmas seems to be approaching with big steps ... and I cannot wait to celebrate this wonderful time with family and friends. Jane decorated our office today with a little Christmas tree, I put up some sparkly stars and a delightful banner made by Jane. The office looks so much more homely and welcoming. The little banner I created for Lunagirl Moonbeams new challenge: Blue Christmas will also find its way into our office tomorrow.  It was inspired by one of Nancy's projects, thank you so much for the inspiration.
The delightful images are from Lunagirl's Blue Christmas collage sheet
layered on musical note paper from Kaisercraft
The banner pages are die-cut from K&Company paper
and adorned with vintage buttons, little bows and glittery die-cut holly leaves.

You will find great inspiration for the challenge on the Lunagirl Moonbeams blog, hope you can join us.

Cheerful Monday #39 - Christmas Greetings

The Christmas cards have started to arrive .... every day I am really looking forward coming home from work and seeing what the postman has brought, he must feel a little bit like Santa I would think! And I am still in Christmas card making mode ... what about you? Have you already finished all your projects?
Here is one of the cards I made for Vicki's challenge: Signs of Christmas
These are not normally the colours I would choose at this time of the year but I just had to use this adorable image from Vintage Image Craft. It fitted perfectly with the colour scheme of some quite old papers I had in my stash and cannot remember where they come from, sorry.
I added some lace, vintage buttons and a little bow as adronement to the card.

For more amazing inspiration please do pop over to the Cheerful Stamp Pad blog, hope you can join us for the challenge. Petra.

Minnie Mouse Ears

I made some special Minnie Mouse ears for a very lovely and special lady

When going to Disneyland Paris, Jane  couldn't find any ears which fitted her. She was so disappointed that I had to make her some. Doesn't she look absolutely lovely and amazing?

Wishing you a happy Monday, Petra.

Jewellery - Christmas Ornament

This is my second piece I made in the silversmithing workshop, a Christmas ornament with silver wire, silver plate and fabric bead
the individual elements I made from silver are:
star, domes to cover top and bottom of bead, hanger
The fabric bead I bought a very very long time ago and I thought this is the occasion to show it off.

Happy Sunday, Petra.

Lunagirl - Winter Wonderland

Still waiting for snow, the weather is just very wet and drizzly and grey (sigh). But it feels very much like Christmas at work as we are having our Christmas lunch today and everybody is very merry after having had a few drinks (lol). To feel at least a little bit wintery I created my second project for the Lunagirl Moonbeams challenge using one of the adorable snow angels
I loved creating this tag. To create the base I dry embossed a plain tag and covered it with treasure gold (gold and sapphire).
A little stamping was added with Lynne Perrella stamps and archival ink.
The middle part is die-cut paper from Finnabair, the edges distressed with Treasure Gold.
I then added the delightful angel, some little blings and a little lacey bow.

Hope you can join our challenge, happy crafting, Petra.

Lunagirl - Snow Angel

I wouldn't mind having some nice sparkling snow and sunshine instead of serious wet foggy patches (sigh) This afternoon the fog was quite thick and somehow worrying .... well, instead of th real snow I enjoyed myself with wonderful snow angel images from Lunagirl Moonbeams for the current challenge: Snow Angels.
The base is a delicate doily, I added a snowflake die-cut from recycled corrugated card distressed with distress ink around the edges. In the centre of the snowflake is a rosette made from Kaisercraft paper, the edges are also distressed with distress ink and a little Stickles. I added the snow angel with golden wings and a little sparkly candle. The final touch is a delicate organza flower with a little bling in the middle.

Hope you can join us for the challenge. You will find more fabulous inspiration on the Lunagirl Moonbeams blog. Thank you for popping over, Petra.

Cheerful Monday #38 - Signs of Christmas

Yes, the signs of Christmas are now truly everywhere and everybody seems to be already so busy with Christmas preparations, presents, lunches, ...... despite all this huzzle and buzzle I so love this time of the year. It is so full of secrets, of wonderful smells of Christmas cookies and mulled wine and Christmas trees. So Vicki's new challenge fits so wonderfully into this time of the year: signs of christmas.
I created a little snowflake ornament for my Christmas tree
The focal point is a wonderful Santa image from Vintage Image Craft edged with some Stickles. It is layered on some die-cut patterend paper from Teresa Collins and a die-cut snowflake. The snowflake is entirely glittered with Stickles. I think there can never be enough sparkle around Christmas (lol). A little stamped sentiment (Elzybells) and a little dotted bow are the final touches.

For more fabulous inspiration, please visit the Cheerful Stamp Pad blog, hope you can join  us for the challenge, Petra.
