Lunagirl - Seed Packs Vintage Gardening

It is this time of the year when the air very much starts to feel like Autumn, fruits and vegetables are ready to be harvested and seeds to be collected. A perfect time for Lunagirl Moonbeams new challenge: Seed Packs Vintage Gardening
I made various seed packs to hold seeds from the garden
using a seed pack template which I printed, cut out and inked with distress ink.
The packs are decorated with Lunagirl images from collage sheets: Summertime Seed Packs and Vintage adverts: Seeds and Plants. They are layered on Kraft ribbon and each one is embellished with button twine and a little charm. To each pack I added a little label of how to sow and when to harvest the vegateables. Perfect for my seeds!
Hope you can join us for the challenge, Petra.

It is the second week of Vicki's: Your Choice challenge and how could I resists to make a second bracelet :-) I never thought jewellery making is so addictive! I had great fun!

I found the bracelet chain at a carboot sale
and after cleaning it up, it has got a lovely vintage look and feel to it.
The Alice images are from Lunagirl Moonbeam
They are black and white prints coloured with Copics.
Various charms, a little teaset (isn't it charming?), some beads,
a little bow and a little Fimo rose are attached to the bracelet

Hope you have time to pop over to Vicki's blog, you will find a bucketload of inspiration and there is still time to play along. Petra.

Lunagirl - Alice Charm Bracelet & Giveaway

I cannot tell you how happy I am today ... a long Bank Holiday weekend has started (yippppeee) which means I will have time to do some of my favourite activities like crafting, gardening, go for walks, ..... how wonderful is this? ... and I finished my first ever piece of jewellery! I did not really occur to me to even attempt anything like this .... till I saw this charm bracelet and Karen from Lunagirl Moonbeams announced the current challenge: Alice in Wonderland. Well, I was hooked (lol)
The bracelet and charms are all in Antique Bronze
which works so nicely with the colours of Lunagirl Moonbeam's Alice & Friends 1910 collage sheet, the images are just adorable.
The images are Laserprints and sealed with Decoupage glue to - hopefully - prevent the inks to run. I also sealed the little trays inside. Once all the glue had dried, I used epoxy stickers to cover the images and then glued it into the trays. The little trays have a front and back filling.
The next step was to line up all the images, charms and beads and attach them to the chain.
I truly struggled with closing the jump rings and making the loops (sigh), it needs more practise!
I really like the way thebracelet turned out and I am quite sure there will be another one (lol)
and because it was such a happy day, I would like to share it with you and give the bracelet away.

If you would like get this little piece, please just leave me a comment mentioning that you would like it! I will draw the winner next Saturday.

And don't forget to pop over to Karen's blog for the current Alice challenge. There is still time to take part till Sunday. And there is also still time to get the Alice collage sheets for a reduced price.
Wishing you a lovely weekend, Petra.

Inspired Sunday #1 - Mechanical Fairground Concert Organ

Laura has such a lovely blog and she is an amazing crafter and artists. Every Sunday she has a blog post called 'Inspired Sunday' which I look forward to every week but never quite made it to share my Sunday Inspiration. But today I thought I take the plunge and share with you something I have a bit of a soft spot for .... fairs ..... especially for the Flying Horses Carousels and those amazing Mechanical Fairground Organs.
We recently visited the BrooklandsMotoring and Aviation Museum and there it was ... the most amazing fairground concert organ built in 1922 in Waldkirch in Germany by A Ruth & Son ... fully restored and in working order with the most wonderful music
Isn't he adorable? If you would like to have a listen to the music, you will find quite a selection here.

Tag Tuesday - Wedding

I have been late with my Wedding tag for Tag Tuesday. But I finished it eventually ......
I chose a pale colour theme for my tag. The background paper for the tag is from Craftworkscard and so are the little square images which I layered on top of a lacey doily.
The wedding dress is folded from EchoPark papers. I haven't done any Origami folds lately and it was so much fun to make the dress. I adroned it with ribbon, paper flower and little glittery hearts.
Wishing you a lovely evening, Petra.
