Lunagirl - Divas

Did you know that Karen from Lunagirl has a challenge blog? She has! It is a two weeks challenge with wonderful themes and ... there is also a prize ... one of Karen's fabulous digital collage sheets.
For the current challenge: Divas you still have till Sunday night to join in. I created a tag with one of Lunagirl's beautiful images from collage sheet: Beauties 2
as focal point. The image is layered on patterend paper (PinkPaislee),
its edges distressed with Stickles.
The tag is embellished with ribbon flowers, little blings and pearls and Mulberry flowers.

For more fabulous inspiration pop over to Lunagirl's blog, hopefully you can join in! Petra.

Little Miss Muffet - Sketch Challenge

It is the end of May (already, time seems to fly!) and the last Little Miss Muffett May challenge, a sketch challenge:
I love this sketch, it is so versatile and sets the image brilliantly as focal point. For my project I could not help but using Chester again, he is so adorable
This is Retro Chester with his cool headphones and retro cassette player! I coloured him entirely with colouring pencils and layered him on various patterned papers from EchoPark papers. The papers are attached with a little bit of machine-stitching.
The word is stamped using Memento ink and a stamp from Betty's Creations.
The stars are cut with Nestabilities dies and attached with staples.

This is my last blog post as guest designer for Little Miss Muffett. It was such wonderful fun and I enjoyed every minute of it. I will miss being part of the DT with all those talented Ladies and their inspiring creations. Pop over to Little Miss Muffett to see all the works of the DT.

(Belated) Cheerful Monday #14 - My Kind of Gal

I am very late with my Cheerful Monday post and the current Cheerful Stamp Pad challenge: My Kind of Gal. I used one of the wonderful images from Gingerloft Digi Stamps
I just love all the flowers and butterflies. I layered and printed the image on digital paper from TracyAnn Digital Paper. To give it a bit more depth I created a lot of layers by cutting the flowers in the hair and butterflies separately. The image is coloured with copics. Some little blings are the finishing touches.
Hope you come and play along, Petra.

I collected landscapes

flowers and plants

architectural finds

and sweet little cheeky birds

and so much more .....

Hope you enjoyed the photos, have a lovely weekend, Petra.

Little Miss Muffett - Sunbonnet FlowerLady

Yippeeehhhh ....today is release day at Little Miss Muffett with new stamps from Jodie, from Bugaboo Stamps, who has designed some exclusive Sunbonnet Rubber Stamps for Little Miss Muffet Stamps ... the new images are super-cute, little sweet ladies and young gentlemen. The images are just perfect for Mother's and Father's Days, birthdays, ...... And, as if that wasn't enough, this week, we're also releasing a rather fabulous new Birds on a Wire Die too .... To celebrate all this exciting news, The Little Misses have joined forces with the Bugaboo Stamps Design Team for a fun Blog Hop and there are prizes, too.

For my project I could not resist to choose the little sunbonnet flower lady for a Mother's Day card .. she is just sooo sweet
Layers of October Afternoon patterend papers
punched scalloped edges and little pearls
the sentiment is stamped (stamps: Kartenkunst)
I coloured the image with distress markers,
cut it out and added it with foam pads to oval Nestabilities die cut shapes,
little pearls make the centre of the flowers
Satin ribbon and a little fabric flower from Prima Marketing are the finishing touches.

Now, when you read all of this, you should have arrived safely at my blog coming from Peggy. Don't hesitate and hop on to the next amazing inspiration from Sammibug. The Blog Hop will close at 8pm, Central time on Sunday 26 May.

Enjoy the hop and have a lovely day, Petra.

Little Miss Muffett - Kraft, White and Red

One of my favourite colour combinations: Kraft, Red and White as colour challenge over at the Little Miss Muffett blog ... and it had to be a red telephone!

Call Me Chester colouring with colouring pencils is having a little chat
while sitting on foam pads in a die-cut circle (lol)
The card base is Kraft card partly embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.
The patterend papers are left-overs from previous projects: Bazill Basics card, EchoPark and October Afternoon papers.
The stamped sentiment is from Kartenkunst.
And the finishing touches are some button twine and a dotty-spotty button.

Hope you can join us for the challenge, Petra.

Cheerful Monday #13 - Happy May Flower Day

It is Bank Holiday weekend here in the UK, a wonderful time to enjoy outside in its Spring glory. This is a little easy card for Vicki's second challenge week
The focal point is a vintage image from Vintage Gallery which works so beautifully with the theme: April Showers Bring May Flowers. I layered it with candy coloured Bazill Basic card and the inside of a title page from a crafty magazine (lol)
embellishments are lace, ribbon and twine
a chipboard sentiment from My Mind's Eye and some lovely Mulberry flowers

Just pop over to the Cheerful Stamp Pad blog, hope you can join us! Petra.

Moo - Spring

I did not really have time to do any crafting .... but ..... I could not resist to make a little teeny tiny moo for the current Moo-Mania challenge: Spring
I used one of my Spring flower photos and cut it to size
and sprayed it with Perfect Pearls for this little bit of glimmer
I added a lovely little fairy (I am so sorry I do not know where
she came from) with foam pads to the moo
the image is coloured with Copics
her wings are cut from vellum
To finish the Moo I sewed some tulle to the base
and added some little punched flowers with pearls.

Wishing you a lovely Spring time! Petra.

Little Miss Muffett - PaperPiecing

What a challenge at Little Miss Muffett ... right up my nose! I love paper-piecing ... more than colouring the image. And what could be lovelier than dressing a lovely elegant Lady in a new Spring outfit? Miss Cora Agnes Hatter all dressed up in pastels
The image is from Little Miss Muffett.
I used two different co-ordinating digital papers from Clementine for the paper-piecing,
and because of this I was also able to play with the size of the paper pattern ...

The background paper I used on the card is quite large
while the one for the dress I down-sized that is I changed the proportions.
It was the first time I did it like this and it was great fun.
I layered it all on Bazill coloured card following a sketch from Sketch N Stash
I added some seam binding and a little flower as embellishment.

Hope you can join in the challenge, have a lovely day, Petra.

Lunagirl #1 - Exciting News and a very Happy Together

Only 2 days to go to a Bank Holiday weekend here in the UK and only 1 and 1/2 days to go to the start of my holidays ... yippeeh! But today is Wednesday and I have some very exciting news to share with you. Karen aka Lunagirl asked me to be a member on her new DT ... this is just so wonderful as I adore her images! And here is my first DT piece
The focal point of the card is an image from the Birds 1 collage sheet. The two little birdies look so sweet and happy together. I layered the image on Bazill Basic card and distressed the edges with Archival ink 'Coffee'. And added it with foam pads to the card.
The base card is covered with Tilda patterned paper
which I stencilled and stamped on (stamps: 7Gypsies, PaperArtsy) with Archival ink 'Coffee'.
Some lace and Velvet ribbons with sewn on buttons
a chipboard sentiment from My Mind's Eye and a Mulberry flower and a couple of leaves finish the card.

Please do pop over to Karen's blog, you will see more wonderful pieces using her amazing images! Petra.
