Thankful

Our last Hugz from the Heart challenge for this year is all about 'Thanksgiving'. As Viv said in her introduction for the challenge we don't celebrate thanksgiving in the UK ... but it is a good excuse to make some mess on our workdesks and, of course, to send a hug! The requirement was to make a greeting card ... any size and any technique. Making cards is really hard for me, I am not a card person and I always struggle with the layout, the image ... well, just everything (lol). To my surprise this time I absolutely enjoyed making this card
The basic shape is cut from Elzybells Kraft card using nestabilities. On the top half I stamped leave images from Crafty Individuals with white Elzybells hybrid ink, the bottom half is covered with 3 Bugs in a Rug paper. Then came ribbons and corrugated card from my stash, I printed the sentiment on white textured card and cut it into individual letters.
The centre piece (although it is slightly off-centre (LOL)) is one of many many wonderful images from Karen, the Graphics Fairy. The image is part of a Thanksgiving Greeting card and I just adore the colours. I layered it onto Kraft card and 3 Bugs in a Rug paper. No distressing at all this time!
I also link this card to Brag Monday and to the Cheerful Stamp Pad. Have a great evening, Petra.

Spring Flowers and Easter Chicks

Warm Hugz with flowers and leaves - it was a really lovely Hugz from the Heart challenge set to celebrate the end of winter: The first Day of Spring - Viv provided the templates for two flowers and two leaves, the group was to use both shapes and attach them together. The project went really well until I did something rather silly ... I somehow missed the 'attach them together' bit (lol) ... in the end the challenge ended in two creations which I really enjoyed - thank you, Viv, for your brilliant projects!

A Bunch of Flowers

Supplies:
white linen textured card for printing
papers - Mind's Eye, BasicGrey, Kraft and brown corrugated card from my stash
images - Graphics Fairy, Antique Images, Lenny'sAlice in Wonderland, Digital Collage Sheets
Lady Birds/ribbon - from my stash
Quickutz circle

The Easter Chick image is a combination of Graphics Fairy egg nest with wonderful subtle spring colours and Antique Images chickens. I really enjoyed to create the graphic
Please feel free to use it but you also might want to have a go yourself as it is great fun to play with these images. (lol)
For the second flower I chose the White Rabbit (from Lenny's Alice in Wonderland images where you will find an extensive range of Alice graphics) which is quite an interesting character with his little trumpet, paper roll and fancy coat. The daffodil background is from a digital collage sheet from Digital Collage Sheets.
Both images are layered on various patterend papers with chalked edges.

Hanging Flowers

For the hanging and attached (lol) flowers I used the same images, papers and embellishments but arranged them slightly different and added a little hanger from raffia.

Now I cannot wait to see the next challenge (lol) ... till then .... enjoy the sunshine, Petra.

Hugz from the Heart

A last minute heart .....

... for the Hugz from the Heart Valentine's challenge ... please do go and have a look at all the amazing hearts created by all the talented participants ..... the template was provided by Viv who is ever so creative and inspiring
.... due to my brain being jammed at the moment it took me an awful long time to decide what I wanted to do and due to my Mom deciding (she is always very quick with her decisions!) she needs a new computer which, of course, had to be set up by somebody (lol) the heart only started yesterday to take some shape. Over the last hours it evolved into a double-heart .... innocent white ..... crocheted with cotton thread and embellished with lots of little glas beads, lace, netting, ......
the back
and being a double-heart it also has an inner compartment which can be filled
.... with a lot of HUGZ

Happy Valentine, hugz Petra.
