My dear wonderful Blogger friends,
Since starting this blog you have been such a wonderful support and inspiration for me. Your kindness and generosity still leaves me speechless and is so very much appreciated.
The last two days my life has been turned upside-down and I struggle to pick up the pieces. I feel a great emptiness inside me and everything is fuzzy and un-focused. I am not able to create, I cannot even think clearly.
For this reason I will close this blog for a while. One day I would love to return when life has settled. I will continue to pop in to see your fabulous creations as it gives me so much comfort.
I wish you all the very best, take care and stay safe, Petra. x

Jewellery - La Palma Transvulcania Running Medal
It's done, he did it. The weekend before last he ran the 83.4km in 18 hours and 30 minutes. I am very proud of him, he did so well and finished. I probably would still be running ........ to honour the occasion I made a medal for him with a solid Sterling silver disk and 24 carat gold foil. The techniques I used include etching and Keum-Boo. I was so happy once it was finished .... and, of course, it needed a little presentation box .......
have a nice evening, Petra.

Cheerful Monday #57 - Butterfly Flutter By
We still do embossing for Vicki's: Use Embossing Powder challenge. Heat-embossing is so versatile and opens up so many opportunities. For my project the embossing acted as boundary for various water colours I used
First I stamped the butterfly (Crafty Individuals) with VersaMagic 'Red Brick' ink
and heat-embossed it with Clear Embossing powder from WOW.
The butterfly was cut out and then coloured with water colours.
I layered it on a little tag and some papers from EchoPark.
The finishing touches are a stamped sentiment (Waltzing Mouse), some ribbon and a couple of half-pearls.
Thank you for stopping by, hope you have the time to join us for the challenge. There is still time!
Petra.

Cheerful Monday #56 - Use Embossing Powder ....
... this is Vicki's request for her new challenge and I duly obliged! I created a little cheeky monkey tagusing stamping and embossing for the background
The tag base is cut with a Sizzix die from Kraftcard.
For the background I stamped little images (stamps: Heindesign) with VersaMark onto watercolour card and heat-embossed the images with WOW clear embossing powder before inking the background with various shades of blue distress ink. The embossed images remain white ... it's true magic (lol)
The little cheeky monkey driver I coloured a digital image from Bugaboo and added some traffic light buttons and twine.
