Cheerful Monday #30 - Birthday Tag

Vicki's new challenge at the Cheerful Stamp Pad could not be more clear and just right up my street: Tags. At the moment I always seem to end up making those (lol)
For this tag I combined an adorable vintage girl's image (Lunagirl Moonbeam)
with patterend paper from Echo Park.
I added the writing to the image before printing it and did some machine stitching to attach the image to the
patterend paper. The only little embellishment is a little resin birdready to say: Happy Birthday.

For more wonderful inspiration, please pop over to Vicki's blog.
Hope to can join us for the challenge! Petra.

Lunagirl - Autumn Lady

I have been struggling with shrink plastic for a long time ... partly because I did not have the right heat gun but now I have!  and I went for the shrink plastic straight away (lol) ... I used shrink plastic for printing (you can buy for example here) and although I was a sceptical at first, it worked a treat! I printed it with a very old inkjet printer and it came out beautifully ... here is the result:
The fabulous leave image is from Lunagirl
printed on frosted shrink plastic, cut out and shrank with the heatgun.
The back is covered with patterend paper from BoBunny, the front with Glossy Accents.
I puncheda hole at the top before shrinking the leave because I wanted to make it into a charm
The finished project is a tag for Lunagirl's Autumn challenge with one of the beautiful Lunagirl images, BoBunny and Scrapcake paper, Mulberry flower, some lace and ribbon
but, of course, you could use the charm for all sorts of projects.
And there is still time to play along with Lunagirl Moonbeam's Autumn challenge!

Hope to see you there, Petra.

Photo Session #8 - Autumn Treasures

Autumn is my favourite time of the year. I adore the rich and vibrant colours, the treasures which all of a sudden appear all over the garden ... spiderwebs so exquisitely woven adorned with dew drops sparkling in the first light of the morning
... berries so tempting and perfectly formed in their rich red dress and so vital for all the little birds looking for food before Winter time starts

Wishing you all a lovely Autumn time, Petra.

Lunagirl - Autumn Girl

This morning Autumn was definitely in the air, for the first time this year it was foggy and the visibility was very poor. Very slowly the colours in the garden also start to turn into these wonderfully rich and vibrant Autumn colours ... I so love this time of the year. Lunagirl's new challenge is all about this season: Autumn
The card base is covered with BoBunny paper.
All images (Autumn Girl and leaves) are from Lunagirl Moonbeam,
the beautiful girl image is layered on die-cut 7Gypsies paper and sligthly distressed around the edges.
The leaves are cut out, resin flowers are the only embellishments.

Please do hop over to Lunagirl's blog. You will find fabulous inspiration and all the details for the current challenge, hope you can join us! Petra.

Lunagirl - Bellydance

Have you ever tried to do Bellydance? A very long time ago I did and loved it, it is such good fun ... especially the outfit and all the bling which comes with it (lol). The wonderful vintage images from Lunagirl Moonbeam with all the daring ladies remind me so much of this time and work so perfectly with the current Lunagirl challenge: Bellydance

The digital image is from the Lunagirl's Bellydance3 collage sheet
layered on free magazine paper
adorned with some wonderful lace from Lynne (thank you so much), some tulle, feathers and bling.
The edges of the tag and the image are machine-stitched.

For more inspiration pop over to Lunagirl Moonbeams blog, hope you can join in with the challenge!
Have a lovely weekend, Petra.

Cheerful Monday #28 - I love Your Hat

It has been quite a while since doing a wee bit of crafting - I have been on holiday last week and only just seem to be getting back into playing with some paper (lol). My new project is a label shaped card for Vicki's new challenge: I love your hat.
The digital image is from Rick St Dennis coloured with Copics and colouring pencils and adorned with some Stickles and pearl.
It is layered on patterend paper from Papermania.
The shapes are cut with Tim Holtz Sizzix die and Nestabilities.
The card is embellished with lace, paper flowers, pearls and a stamped sentiment (Waltzing Mouse with Archival ink 'Jet Black').

Cheerful Monday #27 - Be Inspired

The new challenge for the Cheerful Stamp Pad is: Be Inspired. Vicki provided us with a lovely image
It reminded me immediately of wonderful Sunday afternoon teas with scrummy cream cakes and a lovely cup of tea. And it inspired me to start a new digital postcard series (lol)
various digital elements from Lunagirl (you might remember the little birdie from my last digital collage (lol) ), Graphics Fairy (the little crown) and for all other elements Itkupilli

Hope you can join us! Enjoy your Monday, Petra.
