On the Beach

... but under the umbrella. I think these guys are still thinking if they should get a sun tan or not (lol)
I just love this stamp from Stampotique. These guys are such good fun. I stamped the image on a background created with a babywipe technique. I really love this technique, the colours for the background blend so well together. I kept the 'colouring' of the image to a minimum and just added a tiny bit of red Stickles to the chickens ....  The stamped image and the sentiment from Stampotique are layered on white textured card. Wishing you a lovely weekend, Petra.

Home Sweet Home

CherylAnn from 'Try Stampin' on Tuesday' asked me last week whether I would like to be guest designer for this week's challenge ... I was surprised, excited and honoured and what else could I say than yes! The sketch for this week's challenge is a sketch with endless possibilities .....
It was perfect to create a card for my brother and his family as he will be moving house very soon
All patterned papers are from Jillibean Soup - the sweet ribbon and button thread from the Ribbon Girl - charm, button, flower, blings and pearl from my stash - the sentiment stamp from Eline Pellinkhof, the houses from Hero Arts.
Why not pop over and join the fun? Petra.

Give Me 5

For the new Cheerful Stamp Pad challenge Vicki would like to see some hands and/or feet ....: Give Me Five. I think this adorable little mouse wouldn't mind at all to have five portions of these delicious cherries ... it doesn't look as if it would give up the cherry at any time soon (lol)
The delightful digital image is from Meljen Designs. I printed it and coloured it with colouring pencils and Copics and added a bit of glitter to the cherry . The tag consists of three layers to give it a bit of depth (Magnolia and Cosmo Cricket patterend paper and corrugated card). I doodled around the edges of the tag and added some ribbon and a little sparkly '5'.

Hope you can join the fun, just pop over to Vicki's blog and look at all the other fab creations.

And if you are interested to see a few more images of the Christening cake I made for last weekend and also have a look at a very happy and charming little princess, just pop over to Jane's blog. Take care, Petra.

Very Happy News and Mail and Cakes

I made the Top Three at Try Stampin' on Tuesday with my Silhouette Ladies for last week's challenge - yippeeehhh. This is just fab! Have a look at the blog, the sketches are so versatile.
And then the very happy snail mail. A few days ago I received a huge parcel ... but (for a change) I hadn't ordered anything and I got all worried, you know somebody maybe having hacked into my bank account or so ... so I phoned the lady from Glitter Perfect where the parcel came from ... and guess what ... I won. And it is a HappyCut machine from Artemio. How cool is this? The Crafts Beautiful magazine printed one of my cake photos (the one with chocolate and strawberries) and the accompanying letter ..... I still cannot quite believe it, this is so exciting and I am ever so grateful. It is such a wonderful surprise ... soon I need to have a proper play with the machine (lol).
And I will have more time as I have finished a huge cake order: Christening cakes and cakes for a farewell. It was all good fun but also a lot of work. I quite liked how everything turned out in the end. Wishing you a lovely week, Petra.

Sweet Friends

Sweet Friends in a monochrome setting .... for Vicki's second silhouette challenge week I created a card in a monochrome black&white colour scheme using a sketch from 'Try Stampin on Tuesday'
The white A6 card base is dry--embossed with an Cuttlebug embossing folder. The black Bazill and simple white card layers were cut with Nestabilities. The two lovely ladies are again images from Floppy Latte Designs which I cut out, put on foam pads and covered with Glossy Accents. I stamped the little sentiment with Wild Rose Studio stamps and added a little bow and a teeny tiny bling as embellishments.
Hop over to the Cheerful Stamp Pad blog for more inspiration and there there is still plenty of time to join in with the challenge. See you there, Petra.

Silhouette

I love silhouettes, and I love even more to cut them out ....
This beautiful Lady image from Floppy Latte is quite elaborate and I enjoyed very much to cut it out and colour it. For the inky background I used various distress inks, a flower stencil and some cotton candy Stickles. The flowers on the stripy hat are coloured with distress inks. The card is finished with some seambinding and a couple of pearls.

To see more wonderful silhouettes just pop over to Vicki's blog, The Cheerful Stamp Pad' and her current challenge. Hope you can join the challenge! Petra.
