Cheerful Monday #12 - April Showers Bring May Flowers

A new week and a new Cheerful Stamp Pad challenge: April showers bring May flowers. The focal point of my projects are flowers, daisies, lots of them ... how could it be any different, the gardens are now brimming with them and it looks so beautiful and lovely outside

 

 I discovered a new format for my cards: 5"x7", I have not worked with it beforehand but love it!

I covered the base with Bazill Basics card and TracyAnn's Digital paper.

The edges are slightly distressed.

 

The flowers (image from Floppy Latte) are printed twice,

I only cut out the flowers and added them to the card with foam pads.

The image is coloured with inks and Copics.

A little butterfly and a satin box with button are the finishing touches.

As a thank you for all the lovely comments and because it is so cheerful outside and I go on holidays soon (lol) and everything else, I thought it would be nice to have a little give-away to celebrate. I have quite a few new ribbons and if you are interested in a little selection

Little Miss Muffet ... she sat on a tuffett ....

... eating of curds and whey; There came a great spider who sat down beside her and frightened Miss Muffett away .... I just had to use the new images from Little Miss Muffett and create a little hanging scene based on the Little Miss Muffett rhyme ...

  

 The tree frame is a Memory Box die, 

I die-cut various layers of corrugated card and My Mind's Eye Paper 

which are glued together to give the scene some depth

I backed it with some more My Mind's Eye Paper

 To create the little scene I used lots of Little Miss Muffett stamps 

coloured the images with copics and colouring pencils 

and cut them out

Cheerful Monday #11 - Discover Yourself

It is the second week of Vicki's challenge: Gothic Cuties. For this week I used another amazing image from Dilly Beans, a girl with a skull bow- isn't she striking?

 

I wanted her face to be the focal point so left the background quite bare.

This is a left-over spray ink background on textured white card

stamped with PaperArtsy and Stamper Anonymous stamps and Archival ink,

words highlighted with Stickles.

The image itself and its background is coloured with Copics,

I doodled a second frame line around the image with Sharpies.

Little Miss Muffett - Glorious Food

... sitting on a bench and having some icecream together ... what could be nicer ....

 and these two are so sweet together ... this is such a lovely and cute image from Little Miss Muffett. I coloured it with Copics and colouring pencils. It is layered on various Bazill Basics card and My Mind's Eye papers. The card is embellished with twine, ribbon, flowers and a little teeny tiny pearl.

Moo - Numbers

I only recently discovered  Moo-Mania, thanks to Valerie! I love the size of it (2.8 x 7 cm), it is right down my road using teeny tiny bits and pieces. The current challenge is all about numbers ... and I couldn't help it I created two ...

For both the background is distress inks and lots of water

stencilled with Fresco Paints and 

stamped with Archival ink (stamps: Hampton Art, PaperArtsy).

The '1st' Moo has a little stamped '1st' (stamp: Elzybells), layered on transparency and attached with Staples. The second one demanded a bit more of a birthday theme with lollipop, flower and glitter (image: Dilly Beans coloured with Copics). Have a nice day, Petra.

Cheerful Monday #10 - Cordillia

May I introduce you to Cordillia? She is one of the very stylish and elegant ladies from Dilly Beans

 

 The Lady is coloured with various distress inks, cut out

and added to the background with foam pads.

The background is part of a distress ink-water experiment (lol)
using lots of ink and even more water on watercolour paper.

After the background had dried I stamped it with Archival ink 'Coffee' (stamp: PaperArtsy),
stencilled (PaperArtsy Freso paints) on it
and added some little punched flowers and little blings.
