Cheerful Monday #24 - Garden Girl

It is the second week of Vicki's wonderful challenge: Vintage Children. And I so love these vintage images. I chose the image of a girl playing in the garden to the focal point of my card ... isn't she ever so sweet and enjoys herself so much?
the image from Twisted Papers is layered on a doily
and patterend papers from Authentique Papers.
The card is adorned with a little pearl, some lace
and a little Fimo rose which I made a little while ago.

Hope you can play with us, Petra.

Lunagirl - Lady Detective

She is a lady who keeps an eye on everything and everybody ... not somebody to mess about with (lol)

for my tag I used another image from the Lunagirl's Steampunk Girl collage sheet: Mrs Sherlock Holmes
I combined the image with patterned papers from PaperMania,
some stamping (stamps: 7Gypsies, PaperArtsy)
and various embellishments to complete the tag.

There is still time to join the Steampunk Girls challenge at Lunagirl Moonbeam and to get the fabulous steampunk collage sheets for a reduced price. What are you waiting for? Hope to see you for the challenge, Petra.

Lunagirl - Steampunk Girls

The Lady seems to be quite determined to explore the world and how well equipped she is too!

She is one of many very adventurous Lady images from Lunagirl's Steampunk Girl collage sheet
The image is layered on patterned paper.
The card is adorned with some vintage fabric,
a stamped sentiment (Darkroom Door)
and some small embellishments - mini eyelets and a fastener.

I hope you can join us for the Steampunk Girls challenge over at Lunagirl Moonbeams, and don't forget to look at all the inspiring creations from Vicki and Michele! Petra.

Cheerful Monday #23 - Vintage Children

Today is a new challenge day at the Cheerful Stamp Pad: Vintage Children. This is such a sweet and delightful theme.

I created a very little and simple card using one of the delightful images from Twisted Papers
I layered the image on gingham paper and patterned paper from Websters Pages
and embellished it with a couple of little butterflies, some pearls, ribbon, lace and doily.

Hope you can join us, for more amazing inspiration please visit Vicki's blog, Petra.

Photo Session #7 - In and Around Newcastle upon Tyne

..... the last station before Hadrian's Wall meets the East coast of England. I just thought I share a couple of photos with you. Newcastle is an interesting city with its architecture, history, lots of bridges, night life .....

Tag Tuesday - Travel

Two friends on the way to explore Hadrian's Wall ... a Roman defensive fortification in Britain. It stretches from Bowness-on-Solway on the West coast of Northern England to Ravenglass/Newcastle upon Tyne on the East coast ... 135km in total. In June two friends hit the trail to follow the tracks of the Romans from the West to the East coast of Northern England. A little parcel with a little tag helped them along ... that's what I think anyway (lol)
dry-embossed and inked Krafttag
layered with torn road atlas pages and some jute band
embellished with felt flowers, half-pearls and butterflies
and Dovecraft walking boots.

Enjoy your evening, Petra.
