KingsDay

Well, this has been a bit of an unusual project and it all came about because one of my dear colleagues and friends is Dutch. The Cards & Scrap' challenge for this month is: Queensday! Actually, the crowning of our new King. The challenge is: make a triptych for the Oranges in the limelight.
I decided to look into the future and crown the new King with a little banner (lol)

For the banner I prepared three card panels cut with Nestabilities dies.
The basic colour is orange in various shades.
The panels were inked, stencilled and stamped (PaperArtsy, Eline Pellinkhof, Personal Impressions)
with distress and pigment inks and heat embossed with clear gloss embossing powder.
As the colour looked a bit flat I sprayed each panel with Perfect Pearls
which gave them a nice shimmery surface - fit for a King and ready to be decorated
Tulip panel:
stamped tulip from Hero Arts coloured with distress inks and Copics
ribbon from Marianne Design

King panel:

crown cut from white card with Sizzix Alterations die, coloured with Copics and covered with Stickles
crystals added around the image and to the crown
Mulberry flower
Windmill panel:
windmill image from kids colouring page coloured with Sharpies
windmill wings made of ribbon (Marianne Design), button
handcut gras, paper: October Afternoon
felt flower with a little bling

I really enjoyed myself when creating the banner and hope my friend likes it. Have a lovely weekend, Petra.
