Cheerful Monday #52 - Add Some Flowers

Well, I didn't! I just added buttons ... which shows that after coming back from Germany I have still not quite returned to normal life ... how silly! Hope you enjoy my little tag regardless and interpret the buttons just as button flowers (lol)
I love this Lady from Bugaboo in her funky dress and the fabulous hat. I coloured her with copics.
The tag base is cut from patterend paper (sorry I cannot remember which company)
and then stamped with Black Soot distress ink and stamps from Elzybells and Creative expressions.
The buttons are coloured with chalk.

Hope you enjoy the challenge, just play with flowers and join us at Vicki's Cheerful Stamp Pad challenge, Petra.

Photo Session #16 - A Sunday Walk in Windsor

Today is the first day of Spring, it is a nice feeling ... a feeling of a promise of nice warm weather, Spring flowers and new life. Last Sunday was a lovely sunny day here in the South of England and we went for a lovely walk in Windsor and along the Thames ... I took some photos to capture the glorious sunshine (yes, the sky was as blue as in the photos) and the enjoyment it brought
Enjoy the first day of Spring and happy crafting! Petra.

I made a little notecard with a wonderful Lunagirl Moonbeam image from the  Shabby Green collage sheet which I slightly distressed around the edges and added some Stickles. Musical notes background and butterfly are from the same collage sheet.
As embellishment I used a teeny tiny resin flower and some ric-rac ribbon.

Lunagirl - Goddess Pendants

There is still time to play with Lunagirl Moonbeams and her wonderful Goddess challenge. I could not decide which lady goddess to choose so I decided to create a little goddess trio

All images on the three collages are from Lunagirl Moonbeams' Classical Beauties and Victorian Butterflies collage sheets apart from the script on the left-hand side (Magic Moonlight Free Images)
I turned the collages into pendants

using Ranger Memory Frames and Glas
and adding a little resin flower and some lace

Hope you have time to pop over to Lunagirl Moonbeams blog for fabulous inspiration from the DT and to play along! Have a great weekend, Petra.

Photo Session #15 - Reading Half Marathon & wonderful News

Well, let's start with the hard work before moving on to some wonderful news (lol). Last year in September two friends and myself had the idea of taking part in the Reading Half Marathon .... but not to run it but to walk it! We trained, we talked and planned. We worked out that we would have 10 minutes for 1km in order to arrive at the finish before the cut-off time .... and today was THE day: 13 miles (21km) walking ... it was hard it was faster than we ever thought we would be ... Carlos was the pacemaker and he is FAST. We did it in: around 03 hrs and 22 minutes .... yippeehhhh we made and got a medal! And here are some photos - courtesy of Carlos
the three of us at mile 8: Carlos - me - Veronica

with wonderful supporters all along the way
... and here is the finish .... yipppeehhhh

And now to some wonderful and totally unexpected news: I made the top three of the Craft Stamper Magazine 'Take it Make it Challenge 7' with one of my Black&White cards .... what a lovely surprise, I am truly chuffed (BIG SMILE).
Have a lovely week, Petra. x
