... and my first encounter with Ultra Thick Embossing powder (lol) and it is all for Susan's OLW challenge: Heavy Metal - use something metallic on a one-layer card. Your metallic element may be an embellishment, metallic embossing powder, metallic ink, or metallic paper.
Ok, guilty - it is not quite a one-layer card but after I positioned my embellishment it just looked dull so unfortuantely it had to be a bit of a two-layer card, sorry ... however, I used metallic embossing powder and some metallic glitter
The metallic element has been embossed 6 times. After it was cooled down I cracked the surface, filled the cracks with black embossing powder, heated it up and stamped into the hot embossed surface with one of my favourite Heindesign stamps which a had slightly inked with black Brilliance ink. I will definitely need to do some more practising because I burnt two cards and embossed my craft table - not quite sure how this happened ...... happy crafting, Petra.

Petra, this is so cool! I love how you added layers of EP.
Oh my goodness this is just spectacular. I recently bought some 6x6 sheets of metals, thinking I would make some fabulous elements, but my brain has been blank. I had no idea where to begin. Thanks a million for the inspiration.
You embossed your craft table - lol ! It was worth it though for the FABULOUS card you've created!
Stunning!
Burnt cards and embossed table...sounds like a very normal day in the craft room, LOL! Your card is stunning. That UTEE is a challenge to work with, and you NAILED it!
I'm totally impressed with this beautiful card. Sounds like you were having my kind of day in the craft room! LOL! The card might be two layers, but it is fabulous!
