I covered the basic tag with crinkled sewing pattern tissue paper
coloured it with various chalks and ribbed off the tissue paper around
the basic tag.
I added some gesso to the middle of the tag, spread some
watercolour paint on the craftmat and layed
the tag onto the paint.
The
butterfly and the sentiment (both Darkroom Doors stamps) were stamped
with blue acrylic paint, the lines were created with acrylic paint using
atracing wheel.
As embellishments I added some little blings, some
wooden beads and a little chiffon ribbon.
Enjoy your Tuesday, Petra.

Fantastic tag. love the colours. Great idea to use the tracing wheel for the lines! Valerie
I love your tag Petra, it's so arty.
Thanks for sharing your process of how you got that beautiful background - gesso and watercolour, I will have to try that one xx
Absolutely stunning, Petra! The background is so cool - and lovely to see the process, thank you - and the vivid blue of the butterfly is fabulously zingy against the orange.

Beautiful project & very nice tutorial!
As a lover of butterflies your tag easily caught my eye. It is stunning and I love the pop of color against the more neutral tonings of your background. TFS with us over in the Unruly Yahoo Group in Feb, I have actually chosen your tag as one of the works to be featured in our upcoming Community Update this month.
