A Spoonful ...

.. for the Case a Ginger challenge over at Gingersnap Creations. The most challenging part was to decide which work of art to choose for inspiration ... all gingers are so talented and all pieces are just wonderful. In the end I decided to take Hels' spoons as inspiration, they are fabulous - here and here - thank you so much. I love to embellish old spoons ... they do not only look pretty but also make wonderful and special presents
First I varnished it with tacky glue to give it a smooth finish. Unfortunately the spoon is not real silver, it did not get this very nice patina. The image is from the Graphics Fairy ... I did some fuzzy cutting for the flower bouquet. Around the edges - not very clearly to see, sorry - I put some pink glitter. The handle is embellished with a glitter button, some beads and ribbon.
